1-to-1 Afterschool SPELD Intervention Programme for Kids in Ampang

Specific Learning Disorders (SPELD) like  Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia are all names for one problem... that is, your child is not doing well in school because they can't read, can't understand Mathematical concepts or struggles with handwriting.

SPELD are also often associated with Autism due to the behaviour they exhibit that are plagued by the social emotional effects of the disorders - 

Such as school avoidance, socially withdrawn and emotional difficulties  due to the lack of vocabulary, low self-esteem, anxieties, depressive symptoms and negatively internalising problems.

So SPELD Intervention Programme not only focuses on giving explicit, tangible and self-paced reading, mathematical concepts and writing lessons but is also aimed at improving their self-esteem, social and emotional resilient skills. 

Our program begins at 2.00pm - 6.00pm daily.

2.00pm - 3.30pm: Individual lesson plan for Reading, Maths and Writing. 

3.30pm- 4.00pm: Tea break/Cookery/Food challenge

4.00pm - 5.00pm: Visual/Cognitive and Memory training

5.00pm - 6.00pm: Social /physical and creativity training 

(Board Games, Body & Mind Match, Robotics, Yoga, Sensory, Art and Craft)

All tasks deemed difficult for children are broken down into manageable but challenging bits with tangible and visual tools that build self confidence and self-efficacy in our specially designed program.
